“My Mom’s Haven”,acrylic, NFS

Back

The inspiration for this painting was a very small village in a South-West part of Poland,Borzygniew.

It is a quiet and picturesque place, were my parents had found a peaceful haven after hectic life in a city.

I started this painting when visiting my parents, and finished it later,in my Glen Ellyn studio.

In a meantime my father suddenly passed away, and his final resting place happened to be on a little cemetery right by the old church.

Every time I look at this painting my imagination is taking me back to that little, overgrown with ivy, place on the hill.
